Terrierman Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 They're very likely going to be 9-0 going into their bye week. Put me down as one of the happy Chief's fans who's glad Chip Kelly is in Philadelphia and Andy Reid is in KC.
dennis boatman Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 13-3 and still probably not home field throughout the playoffs...BUT they are riding the perfect storm...it's not necessarily who you play, it's when you play them...Can you say "Manning injured"? Last week against Houston, first time start for the QB...One of the best RBs out after 4 carries...the list goes on...Ride the wave Chiefs! A strike indicator is just a bobber...

Exactly Dennis, but our luck will eventually run out and we will need more solid play from the offense. Still think we have a good year, hopefully win a playoff game, but I still think we lose at least 5 games and possibly six. Games left are Broncos twice, at Bills, at Redskins, Colts, at Raiders, Chargers twice. None of these are sure wins. We need to take care of business against the browns and then hope to go .500 in our last 8, that would put us at 12-4, one win above my prediction. Still a tough team to predict and I've been a Chiefs fan too long to overdose on the coolaid again. Hope they prove me wrong and get 12 or 13 wins, 13 could get us homefield depending on tiebreakers as long as we beat Denver once. Terrierman Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Brian Billick has Chiefs at the top of his power rankings. He only mentions the defense.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 It's been a good year for the "new Chiefs" and it's gravy from here on out, win or lose. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Quillback Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Brian Billick has Chiefs at the top of his power rankings. He only mentions the defense. The guys on ESPN radio this afternoon were talking about a Chiefs vs Seahawks Super Bowl.
ScottK Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 It's been a good year for the "new Chiefs" and it's gravy from here on out, win or lose. Good point. (Although it's gonna be difficult to not get peeved when they lose some games)
joeD Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Good luck with Alex Smith. I've heard he's a "finisher."
Quillback Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Alex is the fly in the ointment, but I remember that Ravens team that won the SB with Trent Dilfer at the helm.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Would SF have missed the Super Bowl if Smith hadn't been hurt? Smith seems inconsistent, sharp on a series, then not. It's hard to see all on the screen though and there times, more than most people realize, where a QB looks amateurish, but in fact knows he has to get rid of it. In a lot of those instances they miss deliberately. He has a winning percentage, had it with SF, brought it to KC. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
