Justin Spencer Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Would SF have missed the Super Bowl if Smith hadn't been hurt? Smith seems inconsistent, sharp on a series, then not. It's hard to see all on the screen though and there times, more than most people realize, where a QB looks amateurish, but in fact knows he has to get rid of it. In a lot of those instances they miss deliberately. He has a winning percentage, had it with SF, brought it to KC. Good point, as long as they get the W, nothing else matters. ScottK Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Saw this sign a little bit ago while we were at lunch. Had to stop and snap a pic.
Coosa Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I am a huge chiefs fan and for now I'm trying to like Alex smith and yes he had a winning percentage with SF last year but its hard for me to forget his years in SF before that, when NFC west was worst division in football. 2005. 4-12 2006. 7-9 2007. 5-11 2008- 7-9 2009. 8-8 2010. 6-10 Definitely not great numbers in my book but hey as long as we are winning I'm gonna roll with it. GO CHEIFS!!!
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 You have to look at the whole picture, not just what the team he played for did. He has no stats for '08 so it's hard to lay too much on him. In the seasons that he has played 11 games or more he stays very close to, or above 60% completions and that's where a QB has to start. He has also had 2 10+ game seasons with only 5 interceptions. I think he has the tools, but he's no Manning, Rodgers or Favre. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Terrierman Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I'll say this for the Chiefs. They're 8 - 0.
ollie Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 The win against Cleveland scared me. If they can't get any offense going they will lose to Denver and other teams who can put up the points. Lancer09 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Who is to say they WILL put up the points thou . No one has yet against them.
Justin Spencer Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Who is to say they WILL put up the points thou . No one has yet against them. The Chiefense steps up when it has to! If Smith can hit one more big pass a game we'll be tough to beat. dennis boatman Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 4-4 the rest of the season... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
