Members fullmoon Posted October 29, 2013 Members Posted October 29, 2013 There has been 17 4th quarter drives against the Chiefs with the chance to tie or take the lead. There's been one field goal scored.
Flysmallie Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Heard this on the radio yesterday. Since the beginning of the NFL only 17 teams have made it to 8 and 0. Of those 17, 9 have made it to the Super Bowl. And of those 9, 6 have won it. Doesn't really mean anything but I thought it was an interesting stat.
Lancer09 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Those are pretty good odds compared to a lot of other teams. Also this is the first team since the 77 Falcons to allow 17 or fewer points to every opponent through the first 8 games.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Since the beginning of the NFL only 17 teams have made it to 8 and 0. I would never have thought the number would be that low. The NFL is full of teams that can beat you on a given Sunday, but if the Chiefs could get a stronger offensive showing and let the defense get more rest they will be tough. The question is where is Smiths seemingly inconsistency coming from? It's easy blame him for all of it, but the reality is that many of a QB's throws are to a spot and it's up to the back to get there at the right time. I'm not defending or blaming, just point out that probably only the coaches really know. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
