vonreed Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 LMAO, now that is funny. It's just as much fun as catching the fish I'm sure. I'd put money down that says it's not the first time that seal has done that. One time years ago I was fishing down at Powersite dam on Taneycomo side with family and it was quite busy with other people. There was a black lab running around just as freindly as any other lab visiting everybody. Some guy right next to us reeled in a real nice rainbow and landed it. As soon as it was on the bank, the dog runs up, grabs it and took off straight towards the fence by the road. It knew exactly where to go to get under the fence. Everybody was looking around like Who's Dog Is That?
Quillback Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Seals and sea lions would every once in a while grab a salmon I'd hooked when fishing Puget Sound or the Columbia river. Never had one snatch a fish out of the landing net or when it was in hand, but I've heard stories of them doing it.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
