gotmuddy Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I will call and see if we can find accomodations for your dog. do you have a crate? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Quillback Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I do have a crate, but don't worry about it, Phil is going to split the bunk lodge with me.
gotmuddy Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 ok sounds good everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Quillback Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I called and spoke to Mrs. Riley. She is going to put Phil and I in the "Loft". The Loft has 3 separate bedrooms, Phil is staying just on Friday night. So on Friday night there is one open bedroom if anyone wants to stay in it and help share the cost. There will be 2 open rooms on Saturday, so if someone is thinking of coming down Saturday and just staying one night then there is an opening for you. As an FYI, the Loft has only one bathroom. There is a coffee maker and pots and pans. You need to bring your own toiletries as they do not supply any. I will bring paper plates/plastic cutlery and cups for all to use. The Loft is next door to where Gotmuddy is staying and it shares a common firepit, so we can sit out in the evening around the campfire. Mrs. Riley said she would provide firewood. The open rooms I mentioned will be first come, first served, by posting in this thread. Again, one room open Friday night, 2 open Saturday night. Mrs. Riley does not accept credit cards, check or cash only. She is going to give us a discount, don't know what it is at this point. There is additional lodging available outside of the rooms I mentioned in the Loft. Link to the Loft: http://www.rileysstation.com/Cabins/Loft.aspx
gotmuddy Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I am stocking up on jigs. Do we want to plan out the areas we fish? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
LittleRedFisherman Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I am stocking up on jigs. Do we want to plan out the areas we fish? I need to do the same, what colors do you white river regulars recommend. I've got some olive/ginger, ginger, brown and orange and white, that usually covers me on the EP. Also was hoping we might get into some good Jerkbait water for browns, I've never fished this part of the White.. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
gotmuddy Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I usually throw a tri-olive, olive ginger, or white with red tie(only in winter) I will be throwing a jerkbait or two also. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Ham Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Triple Olive and Olive / Ginger are what I look to first. I really would like to only carry about 6 colors. You have to have White for spring, but they will hit other colors then too. I'll always carry brown/orange. I want some version of black. All black or black/red or black/olive. I only need 1/8 oz and 1/16 oz but Richard swears by 1/32 oz on real low water. I don't know that we can plan where we fish until we see water flow. Heck, we may get a monster rain and have the river below the buffalo be a blown out brown wasteland. I'm not sure how many boats we want to have fishing the same section of water either, but we'll have different guys wanting to try different things too. I think we'll need to stay flexible. LittleRedFisherman Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Also, since making video's is kind of a hobby of mine these days, would it be alright with all of ya'll If I try to make a video of this to look back on someday? Of course hopefully this might turn into an annual thing! Something tells me there's gonna be 25 plus inch brown caught.!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
