Yeah, if it's like today forget it, just got back from duck hunting and got kinda cool even with all the stuff I had on. As far as trout fishing from my boat, yet to find a day to cold, I usually wear my duck waders and coat. Since i'm bringing my riverjon to be used, i'll probably should stay with it anyways.. but as a big fan of winter smallmouth, would love to have a chance float with someone with as much experience as Al..!

Ham or Hoglaw, what the flows been like on the White, would love to get on a jerkbait bite while we are there on top of the zigjig..

It varies, but mostly under 5K. I haven't been watching it very much. BSL has been getting all my attention of late.

If Al thinks we can catch fish on a float then ill pack extra clothes and float!

I don't know whether we can catch anything or not...never fished the Buffalo this time of year. If it's super clear it will probably be tough fishing, if it has a little color it could be good. If we get a little spell of warmer weather the week before it could be good, if it stays cold and the water temps are down in the 30s not good. I think that might decide whether I want to float the Buffalo or just trout fish...if it stays cold I'd probably stick with the trout fishing.

I know it's a couple weeks out, but I usually ask this because you never know about allergies, but i'm going to be getting new oil for my fish cooker that I can reuse several times after this trip. I usually prefer peanut oil as I love the way it cooks fish, the taste, and it lasts longer. If any of you guys got a peanut allergy let me know, and i'll bring something else. We ran into that one time cooking for a group of about 200, so better safe than sorry! I'm just making sure before I stock up, won't buy it till right before the trip!

Thanks Bret

Lately the fish seem to be allergic to me, but I'm good to go with the peanut oil.

Ha Ha, I get that sometimes to...
