Al Agnew Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I crossed the Mineral Fork on Hwy. 47 the other day, and noted that there are now "no parking anytime" signs on all four roadside areas at the bridge. Don't know whether they plan to enforce that, but it will make me very uneasy about leaving a car there.

stlfisher Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 How can they stop you from parking in that area? Doesn't makes sense to me...
joeD Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Maybe you should watch "Walking Tall." You: Nobody Them: Somebody. With money. With power. Law enforcement. Family. Connections. Result: You are screwed. Good luck though.
SmallyWally Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Thanks Joe. Mind if I borrow your car? Man that was funny. Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.-- Mark Twain
Gavin Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Thanks Joe. Mind if I borrow your car?Got a kick out of that too...I've talked with the guy who managed the Kingston Ranch near 47 a couple times and he has always been friendly. They have always had issues with the slobs who leave litter under that bridge. The fishing sucked for a couple years, so I've moved on. Management & attitudes could have changed.
joeD Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I drive a van. Soccer dad dontcha know. That was a good zinger stlfisher, I have to admit. Still, unless you have property on the MF, you are stuck with Hwy F, Hazels campground, Hwy 47, and Kingston. Not optimal, but, you gotta do what you gotta do. Forget about fishing in late fall and winter. Not worth it.
ColdWaterFshr Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Hazels campground? Is that somewhere between Hwy F and 47? And open to John Q. Public, for even a small fee? Enquiring minds want to know.
