I crossed the Mineral Fork on Hwy. 47 the other day, and noted that there are now "no parking anytime" signs on all four roadside areas at the bridge. Don't know whether they plan to enforce that, but it will make me very uneasy about leaving a car there.

That's becoming a problem all over the Ozarks. A very disturbing trend if you ask me.

Maybe you should watch "Walking Tall."

You: Nobody

Them: Somebody. With money. With power. Law enforcement. Family. Connections.

Result: You are screwed.

Good luck though.

Thanks Joe. Mind if I borrow your car?

Man that was funny.

Got a kick out of that too...I've talked with the guy who managed the Kingston Ranch near 47 a couple times and he has always been friendly. They have always had issues with the slobs who leave litter under that bridge. The fishing sucked for a couple years, so I've moved on. Management & attitudes could have changed.

I drive a van. Soccer dad dontcha know.

That was a good zinger stlfisher, I have to admit.

Still, unless you have property on the MF, you are stuck with Hwy F, Hazels campground, Hwy 47, and Kingston. Not optimal, but, you gotta do what you gotta do. Forget about fishing in late fall and winter. Not worth it.
