KCRIVERRAT Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I'm counting on our defense to win this game. Denver will be fired up along with their fans early but I think we can get things calmed down with the D. If Denver gets a lead of 14 or 17 we could be in for a long night. This game is huge for the Donks and their fans as well as us Chiefs faithful. Just remember... Arrowhead in two weeks! (Insert tomohawk chop here) HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
dennis boatman Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I think the chiefs MUST get a defensive touchdown to win this game...or at least a couple of turnovers to shorten drives...Colquitt will get the ball to the 10 yardline, but the defense MUST get the ball back...long drives will be hard for the Chiefs...as always...Denver 31 KC 13...GO CHIEFS!!!! Next week against San Diego will be the defining game of the season... A strike indicator is just a bobber...

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 18, 2013 Root Admin Posted November 18, 2013 Horrible reversal call on out of bounds call. Not indisputable. Bad camera angle. Game over.
ozark trout fisher Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It was a hard fought game as expected. Chances are KC gets revenge in a couple weeks, but tonight was fun.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 18, 2013 Root Admin Posted November 18, 2013 I didn't start watching till second half. I know a game (that game) isn't won or lost on one call... I think KC has a good chance to beat Denver in KC in 2 weeks. They did look good. Get that first loss out of the way. The call- camera angle did not show definitively that the ball crossed the 40. I was very surprised they reversed it. It "looked like it may have" but that's not enough to reverse a call, according to their rules. If it had happened to Denver, I would have said the same thing - bad call.
Quillback Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Chiefs had first and goal from the 5, couldn't get it in, had to settle for an FG. Bronks fumbled the ball away to the Chiefs, I forget exactly where, but it was around the Bronks 30. First play with the ball, Smith completes a pass to the TE or H-back (whatever that guy with the beard is) an he fumbles it right back to the Bronks. Grrrrrrr....
ness Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I agree Phil. Just wasn't enough on the camera angles I saw. Defense did pretty good holding a powerful offense to 27. Hali and Huston had their hands full all night. We has some dropped balls again and that fumble was maddening. Charles didn't get enough carries up the gut. Gotta focus on SD John
ozark trout fisher Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 The thing that surprised me was Peyton Manning staying upright all night long, as our offensive line had not doing great the past couple games. I thought that KC D-line would really knock him around. They have two weeks to figure it out, but hopefully Manning will be healthier by then. If you give Manning time forget about it. I seriously doubt they'll go without a sack in KC but they better not. The rest of the KC defense played pretty well, though. Holding Denver to 27 points gave KC's offense a legitimate chance to win the game. If they can do that again, maybe the offense makes enough plays next time. I think Eric Decker got that first down. He reached out I think pretty clearly past the line to gain before going out of bounds. But it may not have been indisputable. But to be real, it was fairly unlikely (though not impossible) that this called changed the outcome a whole lot anyway. It would have been an uphill battle down 2 scores with about 4 left. The end result is that we don't know a whole lot as far as how the division race will go. One of these teams will almost certainly be the 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, the other probably a 5 seed playing on the road from round one, and we have no idea which is which. All this does is make things very interesting for the latter part of the season.
