Haris122 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 You guys got advice on what larger sized animal to pursue in the winter, that's legal. Feral Hogs, Coyotes, Bobcats, that kind of stuff. I struck out Deer season and I really wanted to get one bad this year, so I've still been interested in getting something relatively the size of a deer, when it's too cold to go fishing instead. What do you guys think is a doable target. Something that's not too elusive.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Deer season is still open, beyond that Coyote is a lot of fun. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
jdmidwest Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Squirrels and rabbits are in season. They keep the shooting skills sharp. Find a farmer or use the property you deer hunt and work on the coyote population. Buy or make a call and a flipper motion decoy and help control the predator population. Take up trapping. Buy a muzzleloader or pistol and take advantage of the alternative firearms deer season. Take up bowhunting. oneshot Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I usually do a High Fence hunt for about 3 days after Deer season is closed. oneshot
ciRe Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 As stated above. Deer season isn't over until Jan 15th. Both of these our December bucks. One was shot two years ago and yesterday evening.
