at least some people still have a sense of humor during this crappy winter...wish it was a crappie winter..

Yeah NS! I think we're programmed to blame that on the foxes, turkeys, and land practices though.

The Night Stalker?

I thought Richard was still working on his time?

I know this is a little off the subject of fishing but I thought some of you guys might know a farmer up around Stockton Lake. The wife and I eat a lot of bean sprouts but the seed you but around here in the stores are usually old and don't sprout well. If any of you can put me intouch with someone I would appreciate it.

I'll chime in on this one, been raising soybeans my whole life. The genetic modification with beans is perfectly safe to eat dispite what the general public thinks and see's from the media. You can however still get "conventional" soybeans if you like, most of the modified beans are to the herbicide "Roundup" which is about as safe as a herbicide can get, there are some out now that are "Liberty Link" that you can spray a glufosinate type herbicide on. However the sprout would be perfectly safe to eat. There's nothing bred into soybeans to keep insects off.

If you have a local Co op or somewhere that sells soybeans, if you just want a small amount, you shouldn't have any trouble finding any. If your concerned about the GMO beans, just ask for conventional seed.

If you can't find any, I have a couple open bags left out in the shed, i'll send ya some!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Thanks for the information LRF. The GMO doesn't worry me too much but the herbicide just isn't my thing. I have been trying to find a co op around Springfield but haven't had any success. A town the size of spfd should have one. I also went to the local farmers markets and asked around but most just looked at me like I was nuts. A lot asked what I would want to eat soy beans for. lol A lot of them didn't know that is where bean sprouts came from!! I will keep digging and will come up with something. Thanks again for the help.

When I was a kid the town I lived in had a soybean plant and there was nothing better to load a slingshot with. You could load your pockets up from the leaking elevators and go hunt your enemies with snacks and ammo in the same pocket.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
