Hazbin Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I miss typed, 6XD, I have had real good luck with them, especially where chunk rock, boat docks and ledges. Most are good fish!
Old plug Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 quilback-------- you ever try those big net bait worms ???? I got about 60 -70 of them alone all in shades of brown in my locker. I use old old monster as well. Usually have two or three different worms rigged when go out.
Champ188 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I don't bother riggin' more than one worm. A worm's a worm. Fish don't care what color it is. All those different colors and shapes are designed to catch the fisherman, not the fish.
Old plug Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 champ again you boys do not impress me. There is more variables than I am sure your level of experience not lets you understand. So there is no sense discussing it with you.

Old plug Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I use about anything in the natural vein. Net Bait is a little more sturdy has some scent as well. All of mine are between 11 and 12 inches. Also a bit heavier.

Champ188, that reminds of what Bill Dance has said that any color of a worm is good as long as it is blue........... and I bet he has more experience catching bass than all of us put together.

So there is no sense discussing it with you. Not trying to impress you, oldplug. Just making a point regarding how condescending some of your statements come across. I'm no spring chicken myself. You may have a few years on me but I'm 53 and been fishing since I could walk. I don't know everything; in fact, I don't know half of what there is to know about fishing. But rather than come on here and talk down to everyone ... and poormouth every halfway modern tactic or innovative piece of equipment ... I try to pass along the little bit I've learned over the last 40-something years in hopes that it might help someone else catch one. And I'm proud to say that in some cases, I've succeeded. I've also picked up a heckuva lot of spot-on information from the other members ... on the forum, in the tackle shops and even on the lake with those of you that I've been forturnate to share a boat with. That's what Ozark Anglers is about ... sharing information ... not trying to shoot down anything that you think costs too much, isn't worth your time to try, won't work because you don't like the looks of it, etc. Yes, the old ways of doing things still work ... sometimes they work better than the new ways, but sometimes not.
Members UncleB Posted December 24, 2013 Members Posted December 24, 2013 Champ, I look forward to your comment and believe them to be of interest to most. Thanks and keep them coming. Bruce Etter
huntest Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I have found that each and every time I open my ears, close my trap, listen and learn new things it enriches my life. Nearly every time I get stubborn, complacent, cynical, or lazy about new things I have to play catchup with the rest of the world. I think this applies to fishing as well... Champ thank you so much for your generous sharing of your knowledge and experience!
