We people seem to be our planet's worst enemy on many fronts. In case you haven't noticed, there are a lot of us around and we tend to take a lot of stuff for granted that we're finding out we shouldn't be taking for granted. Water quality protection is my profession and the overall trends are not good.

Mine too, terrierman, and I have to agree. I often wonder if we haven't already passed the point of no return, and are just this slow in finding out? The single biggest threat to our environment is....complacency.
