Attached a spread sheet on the trend of nitrogen and phosphorus in Stocton over the last 12 years or so. All numbers are from the Corp of Engineers or the Missouri Volunteer Program.

Stock ranches, septic tanks, wastewater discharge from some of the small towns in the watershed and fertilizers used on soy beans, corn, etc. Just to name a few.

Doesn't surprise me, I've noticed moss in the Cedar Ridge area were you never used to see it. What surprised me was the Lil Sac arm had the least with Springfield's waste water flowing in that one.

Some had asked about the values of other parts of the lake so I updated the map with as much info as I have. Hope it helps.

It would be possible to lay sewers to all the areas around these lakes. I would cost miillions but it would employ a lot of peole.

I have long felt that the. Goverment needs a program like roosevelts WPA that built a lot of The TVA lakes. If people could be employed the amount of money they are being paid could be put into a share deal with a employer. Where is government would pay a portion of the salary they get. There you save unemployment money, help the small bussines and help the community upgrade. Modern day sewer systems can be installed pretty fast. Here in my area last year they installed 500 homes on sewers between mid april and 30 september. I can ashore you it was not small undertaking in these hard Ozarkite hills.

I always wished they had a WPA program so they could lay a trail all the way around Stockton. This would give be better access for bank fishing!!! lol
