Members BHowe Posted January 27, 2014 Author Members Posted January 27, 2014 That's what I'm thinking. A guy can cover a lot of ground looking for crappie beds an such with one of those. I guess the only place to mount one is off the back of the boat (triton). Or can they be mounted to a trolling motor?
Quillback Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Yep you can get a trolling motor transducer or just about all models.
grizwilson Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Have one front one rear you will want some type of protector on the high dollar transducer especially on TM some guys get the 798 and buy a extra base and transducer move it from console to frt on stop. Take a look at bass boat central forum lots of ideas “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
Members raildog Posted January 28, 2014 Members Posted January 28, 2014 Seth, Thanks for the heads up about BBG Marine, I had been looking for the lowest price on a Humminbird 998, and they had it. So I just bought myself one. Thanks again, Kenny
