Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 tried about everything and everywhere from state park to ruark but everything is iced in. Unless somebody has a good idea, don't waste your time driving up here to catch the crappie. The wind on thursday will hopefully break this up enough to get a boat on the water by friday. Crappie have been going crazy, sure they still are it's just we can't get to them. zarraspook Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks for the update ... Your postings have saved me several tanks of gas !!!!! "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Dutch Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yep thanks Bob. I was going to drive down to State Park and play with my new Accu Vu off one of the docks but I guess that is out of the question right now.
Members strat278 Posted January 30, 2014 Members Posted January 30, 2014 thanks for info, next week doesn`t look to good for thawing out either
Sac River Jim Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 i wonder if the strong south winds today thawed out mutton creek north thnx for the info Bob
Lvn2Fish Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Drove over Y Bridge outside of Sons Creek today. Ice as far as could see up River. Down river towards state park was icey too. Looked to be some open water towards the dam, but I would say there is very little open water. The way it looked there is no hope for getting a boat in the water at stockton right now.
Members charliehorsejigs Posted January 31, 2014 Members Posted January 31, 2014 Too bad we don't have any heated docks on Stockton anymore. I sure do miss the one at Mutton Creek.
