rps Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Welcome Dan. I live at Holiday Island on the upper end. We moved here for the 2002-2003 school year and have not regretted a single day.
eyedabassman Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Thank you guys for all the welcomes! We bought our house over in the Blue Eye area. And I did hear the seminar that Phillip Stone gave and it sounds like I am in a good part of the lake. I would like to do some of them night tournaments.Magic worm man and I hope to hit them up.Or if anyone needs a partner? Now i just have to sell my house up here!!!
Cindyjo Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Congratulations and welcome. We also moved here 2 years ago. We at one time lived in Oconomowoc, WI and enjoyed fishing Lake LaBelle. Caught many a walleye there. TR has over 800 miles of shoreline so you will never run out of challenges and discovery. You have chosen a very good website to communicate from. Lots of updated fishing experiences which will help you become accustomed to the lake quicker. Table Rock is a large lake and has its own personality which takes time to learn. You may have some initial frustrations with catching fish but once you discover a technique you will have a blast. Stay in your life jacket as much as possible, especially night fishing. This lake has an abundance of visitors who may not be familiar with the proper boating practices and just like in town driving a car they can be dangerous. So have a great time an enjoy all the pleasures Table Rock lake has to offer!
Pepe Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 We haven't been able to make a permanent move yet, but will never forget the thrill of finding our place at Twin Rivers. We spent all summer rehabbing the place and have loved every minute we are able to spend on TR. We have been very fortunate to make new friends and you almost certainly will also. Best sunrises and sunsets ever. Friends and family time is always special on the lake and the food always tastes better too. Congratulations!
eyedabassman Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 We did stay in the house a few nights after we closed. Our house does face NW and the sun set was great! It is a new road for us to to take and we look forward to meeting new friends and I am sure the old ones will come down to fish and have a place to stay!! There will not be one day that I won't thank God for what he gave us,the house, the lake and the people he will put in our path!
powerdive Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Congrats, EDBM. Soon there'll be enough of us Wisconsinites around here to rule--bwaaahahahahaaaaa!
bfishn Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Congrats! There's only one thing to remember when dealing with the natives... ...nobody cares how they did things 'back up north'. :-) I can't dance like I used to.
Bill Babler Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 You know it is really amazing how well the Northern Fisherman adapt to Table Rock and the White River chain. I think they do far better than the Southern and Eastern Fisherman that typically fish very shallow structure. Usually the good old deep water channel and structure fishermen from up North have a leg up. At times Table Rock is a bait lake and this also bodes well for the Northern Walleye guys as they usually are willing with no preconceived notions on how and how not to do things. They usually put it as Mano-e-mono against the fish, and have a great attitude of the patients it takes here at times. Great to have you and best wishes http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
eyedabassman Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 I love to fish deep water! I was a guide here in SE Wisconsin for along time and I would take people out at night for the big bass! we would fish deep weedlines, humps, rock piles ect. deep water docks. I am all done guiding, now is my time! The only thing I will miss is my frog fishing in slop, deep water docks.I think it will be a ajustment for me like Bill said, fishing with no weeds and just wood and rock.I will have to keep a eye on the baitfish!!
Members troller Posted February 6, 2014 Members Posted February 6, 2014 Lake Geneva by chance? Ive been down here for 5 years from on Winnebago. You'll love it here. Make sure you take in Bull Shoals. Only Green Bay/Fox Walleyes can match the size you can run into over there. No drilling during the Winter either!!!!!
