Champ a temp below 40 is real tuff anyway. I am hoping we get some strong sun when the ice goes. out here on LOZ. that might bring on the very shallow bite no matter what the water temperature. The lake has been the coldest I think i have ever seen it this year. suppose to be only about 35 at 6 ft.

You and Donna are to be commended on giving it a try Sunday. Sorry the catching wasn't any good, but better days are ahead. As you know I tried to go Sunday, but would have had to break ice to get to open water, not to mention possibly dumping my truck and boat into the drink on the slick ramp. Good luck with the Beaver derbies, and thanks for posting.

Addiction, your post made me think ... you guys think twice about backing your trailers into icy water. I know they'll break the ice and get you going, but many a fellow has busted both of his taillights out backing into hard water.

Champ, did you see much shad dying that far down lake? There has been some small shad flipping around KC area was wondering if this last cold blast stunned anymore of them? Have heard that its getting worse for the shad from Club guys will find out for sure with AiA this weekend.

Sprint, to my great surprise, we did not see one fluttering, dying or dead shad anywhere. I did see some pretty good baitballs on the graph at 20-40 feet. Like everyone, I'm ready for some of those rascals to die, die, die. Too many of em.

If they are balled up, a bunch will be dying either way. Freeze or be eaten, hard choice.

Champ all I can say is you the man! good to go try. Working around table rock today and saw ice with snow on it almost everywhere I went. Donna gets cuddo's for going also. Mine would look at me like I was bat "pooping" crazy if I asked her.

She makes me proud. She gets after it when a lot of men have already said "uncle." And I'd put her up against any back-seater I've ever had in pro-am tournaments when it comes to jig fishing.

Thanks, darling. No place I'd rather be than fishing or golfing with you.
