Old plug Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I for one do bit regard it as a rant. It is not the diversity Mitch its one groups view of the other that bothers me. I alway remember or try to remember two things 1 you got to walk a mile in the other man moccasins to. understand him. 2 why do you sorry about the splinter in you brother eye when you have a log in your own. I think thats some if the best advise you can get. dl we follow it no.I know I think about it but that is about as far as it ever gets.
LittleRedFisherman Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Well said Mitch, that's a great view to have! As far as the show, it's pretty much what I expected! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Quillback Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I'm curious as to what those folks get paid. That barefoot guy who supposedly lives outside - think he gets $10,000 per episode?
Justin Spencer Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Watched the show last night and while is is obviously following some sort of scripted storyline, it gives a pretty accurate depiction of what happens in the rural Ozarks. This is not how everyone lives in the hills, but I could think of a name in my community for each of their characters without much trouble, althought the barefooted guy I can think of died a few months ago. Truthfully I think they could make it much worse if they wanted too, I hear hillbilly jokes all the time I don't really believe this will change anyone's attitude. Guest Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Title should've read: "What goes on in Hardy, stays in Hardy"
ruthead Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I found it strange that the barefooted guy who doesn't own a pair of shoes had extremely clean feet! "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
Flysmallie Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 it should be classified as a soap opera. 100% fake, scripted, crap that is mildly entertaining. Â Â
Mitch f Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 it should be classified as a soap opera. 100% fake, scripted, crap that is mildly entertaining. Or WWF Maybe not.....I was really into the BushWackers "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LittleRedFisherman Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Or WWF Maybe not.....I was really into the BushWackers I was more of a 4 Horseman fan back in the Arn Anderson days... I also thought the fellow that lives in the rough, was walking kinda gingerly on those bare feet... There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
