Dude, WTF are you going off on me for? I was defending you AND your whole program to someone who's position I kinda understand. That's all.

Then I just tried to inject a little humor into this stupidity just to help smooth things out.

Just for clarity my handle here (and everywhere) is "fishinwrench", not MFU.

MFU is above you, but fishinwrench isn't. Although I'm a bit behind with what I do for a living NOW I will be caught up in a month or so. So how about April you and I can have a friendly conte$t to $ee if either one of us is worth a $hit at catching ba$$ on LO. Wanna?

I do not read all this stuff But if some of them are who I think I know who some of them are and I would never make a put down remark about them I have only fished 5 to 7 very small tournaments in my life. And yes I won a tiny bit. I jut did not like doing it. It is not my idea of the sport at all. I do not really think it promotes bass fishing. I think it promotes tournament fishing and the resulting commercialization that has led to nothing but higher and higher prices. I do not believe the sport was meant to be competitive. As far as I can see the whole world of fishing has turned into a hustle. As far as the calling you a hustler that was told to me when I ask someone who was bassin bob. After looking at your site I still think your not doing this stuff out of the goodness of your heart. No business man does.

I have never been to the Bassin Bob site but I have often considered giving it a shot. I only get to fish LOZ three or four times a year and without a little timely information it is pretty tough sometimes. Granted, sometimes it is just fantastic without any information.

I have no problem with paying for a fishing report. I pay In Fisherman, the local baitshops, the small resort owners and others for information.

I think this is a misunderstanding between several good guys on both sides of this debate.

Fishinwrench, thanks for the support and seeing the business point of view and intentions of the website. I kinda missed the humor, sorry about that. I am guessing a bit of cabin fever for all of us fisherman. I would love to fish with you in April, hopefully you can teach me some stuff as I an truly just an average angler. Thanks again.

First, Bob is much more than an average bass fisherman. He's a die hard bass angler who will fish in any weather. I'm an amateur bass fisherman who will only fish in decent weather and have never fished in a bass tournament.

Second, IMO, the site is even better for the occasional bass fisherman, than a tournament regular.

Third, Bob has invested a lot of time, effort and (I'm sure) money into the site. It is a great, very professional site. He deserves to profit from it.

I am also a big fan of the site. living an hour and a half away from the lake and 3 kids I don't have the luxury of getting on the water multiple times a week. It is great to keep informed about what is going on with the fish. I also find the monthly videos to be very useful and you can get a ton of information from the local sticks about the typical seasonal patterns and such that can be very useful to find a starting point to finding fish whatever time of the year you are fishing. There is no such thing as "telling secrets". you cannot fish another guys pattern IMO. Very informative though to all bass fishermen that fish LOZ. I have met and talked to Bob personally and can tell you he very passionate about the site and about fishing LOZ and providing good info the best way he can. Great guy to talk with.

I'm ready, Bob. Last year, some physical issues mostly prevented me from fishing. Fortunately, I am over them and plan to fish much more (1-2 times per week) in 2014 when weather permits. But IMO, this ice will likely be around until Mid-March. It is thick and while tomorrow and Friday will be warm, next week's forecast looks cold, high in 30's. Unless you are going to hold an ice fishing tourney, I don't think that you will be able to hold your last tourney this weekend or even the next one.
