Boat Insurance

Just got my boat insurance cancelled by State Farm. Due to claim history -one claim for $2,000- trailer and boat repair in three years. We are 35+ years SF customers with cars, house, loans, life. No other claims for years. I'm mad enough to cancel everything. Anybody recommend a local agent and/or company for full coverage boat insurance?

Call Scott Smith at Farmer's Insurance. They will give you a quote

Scott Smith is an excellent agent I would call him in a heart beat if I was switching over.

I feel your pain as I just had the same thing happen to me. Over 30 years with State Farm with very few claims. I had two claims in 7 years on my boat totaling $4000 and they cancelled effective this month. My agent said there was not much he could do about it. He could protest the cancellation but said he has not had any success doing so.

I got on the Bass Boat Central Boat insurance forum and there were numerous recommendations for Bob Luellen and WorldWide Marine. His number is 517-627-8080. I now have more coverage at half the cost of State Farm. Bob is very thorough and helpful and Is also a tournament fisherman that knows what a trolling motor and HDS unit are.

State Farm is great insurance until you file a couple claims. Then they are the worst. I know several people they have cancelled on boat and auto. They are not there like their commercial claims that's for sure.
