Feathers and Fins Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Mark, let your spoon sit on the bottom barely twitching it as the boat drifts and you should do good.... White or Holographic white 1/2oz spoons are the ticket. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Stump bumper Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Mark, let your spoon sit on the bottom barely twitching it as the boat drifts and you should do good.... White or Holographic white 1/2oz spoons are the ticket. I usually find the whites hit a spoon on the fall and the stripers hit on the rise, do you notice the same thing? I have had stripers hit when I was not doing anything with the spoon, while trying to do something else like light a cig or messing with tackle and almost take the rod away from me but for the most part I think the big boys like the ones that are getting away. Do you you notice the same thing?
Members ADD-Fishing Posted February 19, 2014 Members Posted February 19, 2014 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Recent tutorials, offered up by a highly respected yet sometimes questionable Beaver Lake Guru regarding the rather odd subjects of sacrifice, virgins, and carp, should be approached with great caution. Left to the sometimes misguided endeavors of some eager yet 'less experienced' readers, things could go horribly wrong. Without trying to explain the details of the dangers, let us just say that the improper technique could lead to serious issues relating to your future reputation with wives, friends, and family. In addition, improper technique could render the 'Ritual' ineffective given that fact that one might no longer be dealing with a 'Virgin Carp'.
