Perfect medicine to prevent sea sickness. We were fishing on a blue water charter out of Florida and my son offered one to a guy puking off the side of the boat. Told him it would settle his stomach.

It produced an immediate yak from the guy. It was one of my most proud moments, show's he's been paying attention to me over these years. We prefer the Jalapenos although they are getting harder to find.

No human hands unless the butchers lose one chopping up things. Mini dogs are made of the stuff they scoop off the floor in the processing plant and I am sure they use a shovel.

You know the government watches over all of that and I'm sure they make sure the shovel is clean.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

They may just wear booties now and kick it down a trough.

I probably ate a thousand pounds of them in my much younger days, before I switched to the various flavors of sardines. I figured that not only did the sardines taste better, but that fishy smell they left on your fingers had to be an attractant when you handled your lures after eating them.

Now, since I DO have a great butcher shop close by and also the ability to make my own venison snack sticks, even the sardines have gone by the wayside. I'll take Oberle sausage, thank you.

In the world of canned meats, I prefer Spam. It's much more versatile. Cold spam out of the can, fried spam and eggs, spam spaghetti, spam with Alfredo sauce, spam sandwiches, spam salad....

Can't argue with that. I've taken many a short can of Spam on an overnighter. eat half of it fried for breakfast and the other half on a sandwich later, no ice needed.

I like everything with salt and cholesterol. Should make a good spice like lemon pepper, cholesterol salt.

Have you looked at the price of Spam lately? Ounce for ounce, it is almost as expensive as steak.

Spam and crackers were a staple in my brown bag lunch when I was a kid. School burned down and lunch was on a shuttle bus trip 15 mile ride one way to the gym for PE class. I picked up a few cans this duck season for something different and was shocked how expensive it was.
