I read some of the report. Three things stick out for me.

One there lots of complaints 2 or 3 years back when the lake rose to record levels and lots of flooding down stream on Taney. The report talks to why this was and will be done - due to regulations.

Second - there is a push to add more dock zones - this will be studied next year if there is funding so no change for now.

Third - there was discussion of closing some Corp areas/ramps - this has been discussed recently on the forum. - no news here either.

We all know what the top of flood plain is and all plans should take that into account when the people build and the corps should enforce that boundary.

As far as boat docks, we do not need more docks cluttering the shore line and in good fishing areas.

As I posted in an earlier thread:
Viney Creek- This 98 acre park is located on the south shore of the White River arm near
Golden, MO (Plate PM–24). Facilities include a park booth, 46 campsites, three picnic sites,
one shower house with restrooms, one restroom, swim beach, playground, launch ramp, courtesy
dock, and RV dump station. Water is supplied by a permitted well and sewage is disposed of
through a permitted discharging system. Wastewater and sludge is intermittently removed by a
contractor.
At the drafting of this Final Master Plan, Viney Creek Park is slated for temporary closure based
on a park efficiency review process. However, the park is receptive for potential lease to public
or private entities through a real estate process.
If adequate funding becomes available for park operation future improvements include the
following: Re-open park. Rehabilitation and modernization to campsites 1- 4, and 29 - 43,
including upgrading utilities to 50 amp electric service and water to each site. Construct a group
pavilion with day use parking.

Gnsfishing there are some of us who would like to have a dock. I want to buy on table rock and I have found a lot of nice property and the shore line is zoned for a dock but you can't get a permit. Everybody want 70 to 90 thousand for just the permit. And I don't want to buy into someone's dock and just get a slip

We don't want Tablerock lake to become Lake of The Ozarks with wall to wall boat docks. There are plenty of docks that have empty stalls which shows that more docks are not really needed. What do you think this lake would look like if everyone had their own dock?? We have inherited some of the large boats from LOZ and the same boat operating habits have come with them. This lake is a narrow lake and the larger boats and wake boats are just too much for this lake.....enough said.....

As far as boat docks, we do not need more docks cluttering the shore line and in good fishing areas.

And a big "AMEN" to that.

Almost as soon as the boat dock moratorium was lifted, there was another 20 slip monstrosity placed almost directly across the White from the mouth of Big and Little Indian creeks ( Baxter area) on a shallow, very gradually sloping pea gravel bank !! ( Have fun moving that one ! )

While I don't know about that being a "good fishing area" , there are scads of newer docks around the Lake placed directly on/over good fishing areas with large numbers of unused, empty slips owned by the "dock-slip speculators" who attempt to double their money buying up these new slips and then re-selling at ridiculous profits to unsuspecting newcomers.

If the COE truly wants to accomplish something positive for a change, they should put an immediate and permanent stop to this practice or there will be no natural shoreline left. This issue is far more important than the contrived 50' vegetative boundary nonsense but since money is changing hands, it's obvious why it's not being addressed !
