Tim Smith Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 No bear tracks in the area and the specialists are saying it was another dog or coyote? It's pretty easy to identify bear tracks. That's no bear. More like the people are bored and need something sensational to talk about.

I mean if you're gonna grandiose the deal, might as well shoot for the moon.
Mitch f Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 IMO, A group of coyotes, led by the alpha male "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm thinking givin the fact they can't fly and there was snow on the ground, Yeah "no bear tracks" would be a good clue. She probably got caught up be a coyote more than likely who sensed she was sick. Other dogs generally don't go after females aggressively. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jdmidwest Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 If the stuff was froze as hard there as it has been here, there would not be tracks of any kind. I have not left tracks with the 4 runner once the sleet freezes back of a night, just travel on top of a sheet of solid ice. I have not left tracks with the 4 runner once the sleet freezes back of a night, just travel on top of a sheet of solid ice. Look at the picture of the body. The ground is torn to bits all around it with snow and tracks reaching out in every direction. Although clearly the experts who's job it is to figure out these things couldn't possibly know what they're talking about. I bet they're covering up the secret drone bear brigade on the loose in Pochahontas.
fishinwrench Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The new reality show folks are asleep at the wheel. They could have worked this into one of the episodes. Especially if it was anywhere close to a church.
LittleRedFisherman Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 They actually interviewed the folks yesterday that owned the dog. Now there saying dog attack or coyotes. The dog was 13 years old and was a long time pet of these folks. Somebody jumped to conclusions I guess. But it was on our local news the other night and thinking it was a bear, they were putting a warning out. There was a trail cam picture of a bear somewhere around those parts that was also posted on the air, but from earlier in the year. It was unrelated to this. I'd vote for pack of Coyotes. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
