Champ188 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Ya'll don't get out there and start ramming each other like Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon did in Grumpier Old Men when they were trying to catch that big fish they called Catfish Hunter. Now that was one funny movie scene!
duckydoty Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Plenty of room and plenty of fish out there. That was a great movie scene! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Members bajacoop Posted March 11, 2014 Members Posted March 11, 2014 Were the fish relating to structure or just the specific depth?
Members stumpy Posted March 11, 2014 Members Posted March 11, 2014 Hey everyone, Im new to this forum, but am From the Flat Creek area.... My son and I are just getting into Crappie and White bass, and are eager to learn. Duckydoty I noticed you mentioned a 10 inch length on crappie earlier...thats not a length limit is it? I checked the MDC Regulations site and they do not specify a length limit.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 11, 2014 Root Admin Posted March 11, 2014 Yes there's a 10-inch limit on crappie on Table Rock Lake. 15 daily and 30 possession limit. The area DD is fishing, although called Flat Creek, is still Table Rock Lake. I'm sure at some point up in the creek there's a line that changes from "lake" to "creek" in which the limit will change to the general Missouri rule which is no length limit and 30/60 crappie BUT you better not ~catch~ in the creek and ~transport~ out on the lake cause it is ~possession~ that is the rule. You could not prove you caught those short crappie in the creek when you have them on the lake. Anyone know where that line is?
Chief Grey Bear Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Anyone know where that line is? I believe the line is "normal power pool". Which would be 915'. But I think the James arm may be an exception to that rule. A good rule of thumb is to the first riffle. But that is not always the case. So to be safe contact the Corps or MDC. Or just go by lake rules. Not sure I helped or not. duckydoty Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Were the fish relating to structure or just the specific depth? For the last week or two its been just to specific depth, today it was structure. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
