Old plug Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 i am up here in St Charles. baby sitting. i just bet some people had a good day today out there.
fishinwrench Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Not bad! Bunch of female crappie right up on the bank (less than 4') and green fish were gulping jerkbaits just like they are supposed to. I'm guessing that tomorrow will be a game changer
buckcreekmike Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I still did terrible. Bass fished from 10:30-3:00 anywhere from the 10mm back up to the mouth of Indian Creek in the Gravois. Skunked again. Got up to 43 degree in Indian creek. Jerk baits jigs etc. still couldn't catch a crappie off the dock, but I did snag about 10 - 8" shad while trying for them under our dock. You could feel them contacting the jig every cast. All in all a bad trip for me.aybe I should have crappie fished instead.
WHARFRAT Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Picked up a new ride yesterday morning, so spent most of the afternoon breaking in the motor.. So didn't get a chance to fish. Lots of paddle fishermen out there. I was able to get out Friday about 4. Crappie were biting very well and were pretty aggressive. Wife and I caught quite a few between 11-13". The majority were black crappie. Fish were just off the banks and hangin out around the backs of docks. Today, well that's a different story. @lozcrappie
