Well I think the bite is finally picking up. Had 5 keepers in 2 hours this morning. And this little gal. Fun stuff.

Yes, the brown fish are still a mystery. Every one of my fish came out of 20 to 30 fow. I just got tired of running 10 to 15 miles to get bit. It can only get better.

Wow, nice fish! Congratulations. From the smile on your face it looks like you had a great time. I wish I could say the same. My son, came in from Grand Rapids, MI, and we took him up the Kings River throwing spinner baits and warts. He and my wife caught 4 each but I got skunked.

We are planning to go out tomorrow and would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, after yesterday where they were jumping in the boat on crankbaits , today was totally different up the kings. My buddy and I caught 4 in about 15 minutes off 45 degrees banks around 8:30 and then they just quit. For the next 3 hours nothing and then I picked up a green tube with orange strands and between the two of us we caught at least 10 and had about that many slam the tube and let go in our last hour of fishing. Nothing bigger than 15 but it made our day after the miserable morning. Just slow dragging the tube. Good luck tomorrow. We're throwing the crank first thing for a hour and then switching over to the tube if the crank bite is not there.

I got 25-30 bass on a wiggle wart up the James today. Size was not good but lots of action. The fish were in 8ft. Wt around 50 all day.
