Bill Babler Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ya Snake, that is pretty much what I heard. I think a lot of the river talk is just that. I want to see the Pic's. Put in a Shell Knob this morning at 6:30 to the worst Fog I have seen in 30+ years on Table Rock. Surface temp in the clear water at the Bridge was 44.9. Fished a full day going from Shell Knob to Baxter with good fishermen. We had 29 fish with 7 keepers, and earned everyone of them. Had some very nice K's. One I'm thinking was pushing 4 pounds. Will post a pic later. Surface temp at the Knob at 4 PM was 49.7 Did see a spot of 50 degree water at Baxter for a minute. Spoke to two guys that had been reading all the Kings hype and these guys are fishermen. They said it was horrible up there. They pretty much were cranking. Said they caught some but mostly buck LM with no quality. One of these guys a local said he did not think he had a keeper all day, and only had about a dozen short LM. James and Donna may be up there today, and if there is a shallow bite on a crank a blade or a jig, they will catch them. That is for sure. If they hit a dry hole, it will make me wonder. If James cannot catch them power fishing shallow, I'm not believing anyone can. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Fishrman Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Fished today out of Big M ran to Rock and Roaring River looking for crappie several short and one keeper. One keeper largemouth on stick. Ran to Kings caught several more short crappie and 2 more keeps Lu's several bass on blade with 2 keeps. Got my new boat Friday been 5 years without one so nice to get another one. If you see a black and yellow Stratos 202 Elite stop by.
Champ188 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Guys, we did not get up there today. I was under the weather last night and even had a little spell with my atrial fib this morning. High-stress, 60-hour work weeks do not agree with me these days. Snakem, appreciate the straight-line report. With your skills, you'd have done much better if that bite was everything some are saying. I'm looking forward to getting up there soon and see what I can figure out. Bill, thanks for the kind words. Only thing about shallow power fishing on TR is it's a limited-time offer. The deep-water gurus like yourself can catch them any time of year.

Extreme top of the line bass boat. Congrats. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Pepe Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 James, I am sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. That stress is ugly stuff. I hope it eases up for you.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Nothing like some bass to smooth out stress. Especially brown ones.
