Members Krassi Posted April 1, 2014 Members Posted April 1, 2014 Im coming down to Stockton april 10 for the weekend. I have never been there. Staying at state park. Any advice? Not sure how the long winter affected the walleye and crappie. KRA
waterpossum Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 You should be getting here at a prime time. I think most species are a litttle later turning on this year, but the bass fishing is very good right now. Keep watching this forum. there are a lot of good fisherman posting here
wuteversbitin424 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Buddy of mine fished taylor bridge today and caught around 20 short male whites. only 2 females that he saw caught while he was there. Next weekend and definitely by the 10th the white bass fishing should be great.
duckydoty Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 We had a pretty good weekend camping and fishing. It should be really good by the 10th! Read my report. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
mjk86 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Walleye might be tough, but crappie should be going pretty well. Alot of those little coves around the state park will hold crappie, i doubt if they will be on the bank by then, but will be pretty close. Ive had really good luck with walleye down around masters island, there are a few submerged humps that hold them in the summer. If your dead set on walleye you might head that way. I wouldnt really know how to target them though in mid april.
Sac River Jim Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 with the warmer weather and rain this week it should really help. by the 10th id think the crappie should be up around 39 bridge on sons creek and possibly a walleye or two. i'll be up there the following weekend fishing with my crappie club and i'm planning on fishing up there it should be really good by then.
