96 CHAMP Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 lots of crappie reports, whats up with ole bucket mouth
fishinwrench Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Ol'bucket mouth is sick and freakin' tired of sitting in.the deep dark abyss and is anxiously seeking out warm quiet shallow pockets to chill in and get fat on crawdads as they come out of hibernation and molt. He/she will not pass up a well presented jig or tube. The cool thing about Lake O winter drawdown is that it scrubs the shoreline with every rain, cleaning it of all the silt, leaf litter, and other assorted muck.....so that when the water level is brought back up to 658-660 ol'bucketface has a nice fresh and tidy playground in the shallows.
Old plug Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I tell you if we get the weather the next few days it might really be good this weekend. Then another coldish spell will hit next week. I think though when they start they may slow downs but there will be no more of this stuff we been going through. Wrenches stomping grounds are a ways up the gravois from me. I am down in the Cedar Point area. my water is a bit clearer than his today. bit when I looked out the window this afternoon there was some real muddy water right up from Gibson's Point so I do not know what it will be like tomorrow.
