Quillback Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Anybody fish these on The Rock? They look like they could catch fish, but are not being manufactured anymore. There are some on Ebay. Picture is a tad small, they resemble one of those Rebel craws.
Ham Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I've got one that was painted goofy and marketed as a Walleye Magnet. I bought it prior to a trip to Canada. I'm not sure that it's ever been in the water. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
kjackson Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I tried a version of them on Banks Lake back in the day. They are very shallow runners--can't remember exactly how shallow, but they didn't dive much at all. Norman bought the company, took over the molds and produced a steelhead version for a while. The only fish I've caught on them was a staging coho about eight pounds. I do know that BASS writer Don Wirth was up on the originals for a while, but I'm not sure how much of that was marketing hype. Cool looking baits, though.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Lot of the TN brown bass royalty were big on them...Westmorland, Bean, etc. Believe Lucky Strike is making them now. Should be available for a decent price.
