My heart was just ripped out of my chest after that game... I don't know about Miller. I know it wasn't all his fault but the effort on the breakaway goal that made it 3-1 was pathetic.

my Blue's prediction for next year is that they will make the playoff's and then lose in the first or second round. It has been rock solid for most of 35+ years. The cubs of hockey.

The Cubs of Hockey is 100% accurate at this point. Such a waste of talent this year

Just such an embarrassing way to end the wonderful season they had.

They were out coached in this series and it is shown that they still do not have true scorers. Hossa, Kane, Sharp, and Toews are all better forwards than the Blues' top forward. They didn't make the adjustments needed to score on the powerplay when shooting from the point wasn't working (and it didn't work all series) so this series loss lays heavily on the coach not changing things up to make it work. It's a shame to have such great young talent to watch them fail as much as they have the last couple seasons.

I agree on the Miller part, while it wasn't his fault completely, he never really had a great game during the season or the playoffs with the Blues. Dump him, chalk him up as a failed trade, and let Elliot and Allen mind the net next year and use the money to go get a top tier scoring forward.

Yep, to all the post above. Crawford stole game 3 for Chicago and Miller could not steal one for the Blues. Game 5 loss was a killer. Cubs of hockey is correct...they just can't get over the hump.

The Cubs are a charter member of the National League that has not won a championship since 1908 & even more pathetically, has only 5 seasons with 90 wins or more since the last time they played for a championship in 1945! The Blues were in the Stanley Cup finals the first 3 three years of existence, went to the playoffs 25 straight years, have had a myriad of HOF's & All-stars, and have always competed minus a season here or there. And even though St. Louis is starting to be a amateur hockey hotbed reflective in the amount of local players in the NHL, we are no where near the market Toronto is, and the Leaf's haven't won a cup since the spring of 67' just months BEFORE THE BLUES PLAYED THEIR FIRST GAME EVER! So when you bring that into the equation not to mention the NY Rangers only winning 1 cup since the start of WWII, the Blues are not the Cubs of the NHL! And to conflate the two is either being ignorant to the reality of the situation or a crap-disturber...

just stating the facts from a fair weather hockey fan who has semi followed the blues from their existence. When they started, I was around 10 years old, and they were the best of the expansion teams, and got demolished in the finals in the late 60's. Since then they have never been to a cup final. If MLB would have been like hockey where in the past 1/2 the teams made the playoffs, then the chubs would have had many more playoff chances. Hockey to me is still a bush league sport. It encourages fighting. Fighting could be eliminated immediately. 5 game suspension for throwing a punch, do it again, suspended for the season. Good, clean hits are part of the game, cheap shots should incur an immediate ejection by the refs. I sort of enjoy watching college and Olympic hockey.

The point is this, it could be a lot worse! Blues fans go to the game with the expectation of seeing a victory... Cubs fans go to the game with an expectation of getting plowed off Old Style & working on a tan only to go home & pass out, then wake up to see if the Sox won on the 10:00 news!

what if football players went into a fight every time they got hit hard? Hockey is pro wrestling basically, probably worse.
