Members DerekB Posted April 22, 2014 Members Posted April 22, 2014 A buddy and I will be fishing Thursday thru Sunday. I've been watching everyone's posts closely. Anything I should have in my tackle box that hasn't already been mentioned? Hopefully the fishing is every bit as good as it sounds this week. I'll be sure to post a report when we return.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I wish that I was as good a fisherman as some on this forum, but I don't have near the time on the water, first time fishing Table Rock, out of Big Cedar Lodge's cove. Tried green/pumpkin lizards, and a wiggle wart, along with a chunky spinner with a crawl trailer. I got some followers, but no commitment. I got my only fish, a large mouth with a rattle trap blue/purple with a red front. Hope you have better luck. Daryk Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
motoman Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Ozarkanglers sticker on your outboard? That way we can see members from a distance and swing by and say howdy!:-)
Champ188 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 1. Get a spinning rod with 6-pound monofilament line. 2. Tie on a 1/8 or 3/16 ounce shaky head with a green pumpkin finesse worm on it. 3. Find a shallow-sloping gravel point and throw the thing out there anywhere less than 20 feet deep. Guys, it's really that simple. Don't make it harder than it has to be. There are 11 months out of the year for that. Enjoy these precious few weeks that it's easy.

That's why I've been a repeat customer of this particular lake for the last 5 years, +/- two weeks on this particular time period. 3/16 shakey, 3/16 tube, 3-5/8 jig, & the ned rig end up making me feel so much better despite my struggles back home the rest of the year.
