Members johnbuoy Posted April 24, 2014 Author Members Posted April 24, 2014 I think I'm going to fish local ponds today this storm has made me a chicken to put a boat in at Stockton. I'll try tomorrow
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 WITH THE WIND BLOWING LIKE IT IS TODAY, YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO PUT A BOAT ON STOCKTON
fozzype Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 New water = current = fish heading up creeks = spawn = bites = fish Simple formula unless "trashy water" throws the whole equation off B. Foz
Feathers and Fins Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 YES that stupid lightning crap is keeping me off the water!!!!!! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members Nekia 959 Posted April 25, 2014 Members Posted April 25, 2014 I did some pond fishing today and couldn't by a bite even with worms think there was a cold front with storm just didn't change temp much . Going to try the lake tomorrow the boat has been calling
Members johnbuoy Posted April 25, 2014 Author Members Posted April 25, 2014 I ended up with 2-11 inch crappie and some hand sized blue gill off of pond fishing but I'm going to hit the lake early to try my hand on lake crappie
bwcballer10 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Decided to try and brave the rain yesterday, glad I did. Couldn't keep the whites off my hook, had my limit in less than an hour.
wtr dogs Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Fished Aldrich area. The crappie had lockjaw. You could almost walk accross the lake on the boats. Saw an airborn bird fight between an Eagle and Egrete. The egrete dropped it's fairly large fish from about 200 feet up. Home of the the dam of 2009 AKC National Debry Champion.--AMMOAMMO

I think you are referring to an Osprey (i.e. fish hawk) I was there in the storm yesterday and I did see two Ospreys and an Eagle that was following them.
Members johnbuoy Posted April 26, 2014 Author Members Posted April 26, 2014 Yeah it was tough for me around Roark area but I heard a couple of boats did well early like before 10am the water temp was 58 at 8am but got to 62 when I left at noon sure was a lot of boats out there though
