dtrs5kprs Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Wind, wind, and wind. Not the finesse angler's friend. Fished again with Don Baldridge, gave him his choice of wind or cold. Believe he might pick differently next time. Was just plain tough to fish the places we needed to. Period. Probably should have gone to the smoke grub and stayed there, as they were eating it early. Goal though, was more finesse. Ended with something around 7 keepers, no killers, plus shorts. Very few brownies. There are fish hard at work on beds, paired, or in one case a threesome. Must have been the San Francisco strain of spots. Fish were sort of all over, bank to 20' or so. Temps in low 60's, found some very clear water in around coney island.
Quillback Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Yeah that wind was a booger yesterday, it's been hard to get away from it this spring. Weather guesser last night was saying there's a potential for a light frost tomorrow AM. Sheesh...

fishingaddiction Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I hear you on the wind. Just really howling here in Rogers. Still would have rather been on the lake. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
