nathanhooper Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Not topwater, but good nonetheless. Trolling with downriggers. Around the corner from rock branch. Fixing to leave and were pulling up baits when we found this feller on the line And, of course, the one that got away. Right up to the boat, went to get it, and broke the line. Guessing high 20's low. 30's. A good one for sure.
Feathers and Fins Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Very nice, how big was the walter? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
nathanhooper Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Thanks guys. It was fun. We will be back out in the morning. Very nice, how big was the walter? Well, I have a bad habit of not measuring/weighing. It was the biggest I've personally been around. I'm guessing it was reaching 30", but I could be wrong. We fried them up with the catch earlier this week for our get together this evening. All I can say for sure is yum.
nathanhooper Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ok, one more and I'll quit bragging. . Really though, it was caught 30' deep. But we did see a lot of guides trolling shallow this weekend. This guy was right at 20 lb
Members brosborough Posted June 2, 2014 Members Posted June 2, 2014 Arrived today. Took a drive around tonight. Didn't see anything happening around Ricky branch. Was over on the side of that great big island. Fords Creek and Cedar Creek still the best gamble?
Members brosborough Posted June 2, 2014 Members Posted June 2, 2014 Oh. This is for top water action. Fords looks pretty big. Might start by idling up it slowly. See if anything is happening. Maybe sit in the middle. Lol.
