Seth Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 "Let me get the FRABILL", "OK, I have the FRABILL in my hands". "Netting the fish in the FRABILL". "Let's pull the fish out of the FRABILL for a picture". Sheesh... You're a natural!
Mitch f Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 No way that fish is 24.5" long. Big smallie for sure that I dream of catching, but no way is that one 9+ pounds. Someone measure length using photoshop. Totally agree "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
drew03cmc Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Andy and Mitch, can you get your cyber rulers calibrated please? That fish is just under 24.5" and has a massive girth as we can see. It weighs 9# 3 oz and ate seventeen crawdads for lunch today. You cynical bastards. Andy

However, at the press conference, Obama agreed with you it was 24.5".... but Abe Lincoln, Andy and I have our doubts! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I love it Mitch, that is a good one. Abe Lincoln isn't sure, judging from the look on his face. Maybe his one fake eye is causing depth perception issues. Andy
Mitch f Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 But seriously, many red flags come up when you think about it. The biggest being they never kept the fish in a live well long enough to get to a certified scale... No guide I've ever seen would not want the publicity of a state record, especially one that posts it on FB. If they thought it was legit, it would be the new pending state record. drew03cmc Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yep. The guide should have been aware of the current record and the fact that he thought they were close enough to warrant getting it checked. Andy
