Members bung Posted May 22, 2014 Members Posted May 22, 2014 What place has the cheapest fishing boat rentals down here at LOZ? Motor/Size of boat? Appreciate any info. Trying to decide if its worth it to haul my boat or not.
crittermo Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 you'll have to google that to find out. i think iguana water sports rents boats but i'm not sure about fishing boats. it will be a lot cheaper to bring your own plus you can fish out of something your familiar with.
fishinwrench Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Problem is: The places that rent boats are a LONG WAY from decent fishing areas unless you're happy catching 5" bluegill. And the fishing boats they rent probably won't make it out of the cove they are in without swamping or breaking down.
WHARFRAT Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Pontoons can run 300-400/ day. Bass boats not much less. @lozcrappie
moguy1973 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I concur with what is said above. There are places that rent 19' bass boats, but they'll charge you $250+ for 8 hours. Most boat rentals places on LOZ only rent pontoons and skiboats. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members bung Posted May 23, 2014 Author Members Posted May 23, 2014 Might just bring a canoe.... or shore fish. I want to trailer my boat but I don't have any faith in my trailer when it comes to a 6 hour drive
Goggle-Eyed Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 CANOE!!!!! Not this weekend. I agree 100% unless you are in a NO WAKE cove that is protected from the main channel!!! Or way up one of the river arms where the idiots can't go! Joe
