mikeak Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 My Grandson and I are just about done refurbishing (replacing all the wood and glassing some bad spots) canoe that I've had for over 40 years.I'm wanting to float the North fork with him with fishing being our main goal.I got him started fly fishing a couple years ago and he's hooked. Guess I've ruined another one.I want to pass on the joys of floating rivers while I still can. I'll be giving him this canoe shortly. Any way I'm looking for some one to shuttle me back to the canoe,I'm thinking drop the canoe and grandson off and drive to a take out point and get a ride back upstream.(not looking for a freebie here) Thanks and appreciate any help. Mike
Gavin Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Call Justin @ Sunburst ranch. Go during the week if you can.
David Unnerstall Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Fly fishing from a canoe is difficult. I floated that section of NFOW around Sunburst last year and the water moves fast. Spots where you can get out of a canoe to fish are few in number so don't pass any up. And I agree on Jason and Sunburst.
mikeak Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 Thanks for the info. I'll give Justin a call after the holiday,I imagine he's pretty busy right now. Thanks again
mikeak Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 I called Sunburst and Talked to Amy. No wonder Sunburst comes so highly recommended . What a nice person, she answered all my questions and before I hung up I felt like I was talking to an old friend. Now I'm really fired up to get that canoe done. Thanks again,Mike
