Is there a trout population in the White River around Batesville?

I understand the water warms up quite a bit down stream from the Dam. While I love Small mouth I prefer to fly fish for trout. looking for home along the white but want to rule out homes where the white does not support trout.

There probably are some, and more in colder months. But if fly fishing for trout is your thing, you'd probably be happier up higher on the river.

There are decent numbers of trout down to Mountain View, but IF I was moving to the area for the trout fishing, I would want my house to be from Bull SHoals to Norfork.

I grew up in Batesville. I caught some really nice trout in the white water below the lock in town when I was in High School. You can catch a lot of them at the Lock and Dam by Locust Grove or Bethesda

Thanks. Seeing how this will be my retirement home I will probably take the advice I have gotten from everyone on this post and the other post and focus my search in the cotter, flippin, norfork mountain home area. Good to know if I go on a 3-4 day float camp trip I should be able to hit them all along the way!
