On my way home this evening the LEOs were having a heyday. I counted no less than 13 (marked) cars, and saw 6 with folks pulled over between Johnson & BV. All southbound. All (that I could see) were out-of-state tags. All but one had trunks, hoods, and all doors open. 2 had all the personal contents strung all over the roadside, luggage, clothes, camping gear. The last one had a family with 3 little kids surrounded by 3 carloads of LEOs and with some of them having hands on guns at the ready. With the Mulberry music fest starting tonight, it's pretty obvious who was getting profiled.

Fast forward a couple days to when the real menace to society comes to town (walmart shareholders) and you'll see none of that. The bars and liqour stores will have record sales, and a good portion of the traffic in and out of the motels will be piloted by drunks with an unspoken license to raise all the h*** they want.

I can't dance like I used to.

Last year I was driving on 49/540/71 (whatever the number of that HWY is) on Sunday afternoon on Wakarusa weekend and saw the same thing in the north bound lanes. A little over done in my opinion.

Shareholders is in full swing. I was in the same area today and they are cracking down hard because of idiots going through the construction zone. There has been more than a few close calls this week alone. It is a 60 ZONE NOT a 80 zone and swerving in and out will get ya the ticket.

What's the Mullberry music fest?

I'd like to believe that F&F, but all the action tonight was before the construction zones.

Everything I saw started at Johnson on/off ramp and ended at New Hope which is in the construction zone. Southbound would probably be catching Shareholders as they have the big concert tonight at the Bud.

Im waiting to see how they act once the AMP gets going with concerts.

After reading between the lines, I understand now. BTW, look closely at your 401K. If you have a mutual fund there's a good chance you too could be one of those "evil" Walmart share holders :)

You didn't get to see the north end. 4 of the six pulled over were north of Bentonville, 3 in a 1 mile stretch in BV. If you had a look at those getting searched you'd know they weren't shareholders. Not unless they're bringing their tents and camping gear for grins and giggles.

True that. I cashed in my measly 401 before the bust and had a steak dinner. If I'm ever able to invest again, you can bet I'll know exactly who has it.

Not that that matters... except for the retired, the infirm, and a few chicken farmers, everyone around here (present company included) works for WM one way or another.
