GloryDaze
I thought this was a cool video... being a novice to top water fishing, I would have never thought to reel it in so fast. Is that a normal retrieve for this type of lure? http://t.co/N1xuDmFS8q Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
ColdWaterFshr
Very cool video. Seems unusually fast to me too.

Kelroy
I think he was burning it back to make another cast.
ness
I kinda thought that too, Kelroy. Seems way too fast for a retrieve. Just goes to show you... John
Bill B.
He fished it slowly over the grass at the edge of the lake. Gave it a couple of short pulls when it reached open water, then burned it back for the next cast.
Coosa
Thats an awesome video! That was an intense bite. Pretty sure i would have pooped myself!! I been fishing the topwater frogs a lot latlely. Been fishing Ben Branch lake. . 47 acre trolling motor only. Been fishing there since I was a kid (about 15 yeas) never really caught much there. I fish it a lot though because its very close to my home. Then about a month ago I caught my biggest bass yet (20"...don't laugh:) on a YUM money frog. Then three days ago I followed it up with a 22 incher on a KVD sexy frog. Maybe my little lake is lookin up!
moguy1973
The unexpected bites on the retrieve are always fun. Scares the crap out of you too. That's the way I caught the big smallie in my avatar. I was reeling my craw back in and he slammed it right close to the boat... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
GloryDaze
Pretty sure I may have flipped my canoe if that happened. It was so calm and quiet and then boom, came out of nowhere. Now that I watched it again I think you guys are right, he was reeling it in after a couple of "pops" by the shoreline. Still looks fun though.
