Members HogHillbilly Posted June 14, 2014 Members Posted June 14, 2014 I'm bringing my bass boat, my wife and my 8 year old this Sunday till Friday. We've rented a cabin on Indian Point on Tablerock. They have never been trout fishing, and to be honest, I haven't fished Taneycomo since the KOA was there. So one day I want to take them trout fishing. Where is a good boat ramp ? What time of day should we fish ? And what is the best area to fish ? Thanks for any help yall can give me
Dutch Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I'd put in at Cooper Creek as early as I could get them there and fish up stream to at least Fall Creek.
crazy4fishin Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Yep - Dutch is right...Coopers Creek is a nice ramp - lots of concrete and room. If the water is running starting at Fall Creek and drifting is a good way to catch fish. There are also reports of fish down around the landing. If I were you after you start up lake stop at Lilleys landing and pick up what they are biting on....assuming you are going to use power bait and drift rigs or even a jig or two. They can put you on the right color and place in a heart beat. C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker

Travis Swift Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 If you put in a cooper and its foggy simple shut the motor off and get on your trolling motor and go directly across from the ramp. Tons of bows in there and they alot are fresh stockers that are eager to bite. Your family would love it. As an added bonus listen for the water falls that are directly across from Cooper creek resort. They are beautiful and always have fish around them as well
Members HogHillbilly Posted June 20, 2014 Author Members Posted June 20, 2014 Thank yall for everything. We fished it on Wednesday. It kicked my butt. Caught one rainbow all day. Tried white jigs and powerbait. Talked to several people (including some guides) and no one caught anything. Guess we just picked a bad day. But we had fun, and it was beautiful. Can't wait till we come back
