balsabee Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 http://www.bassmaster.com/blog/count-me-among-swing-jig-believers?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Mark Davis really opened the eyes of a lot of fishermen on the rock including KVD's.
moguy1973 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Interesting article... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
jolicious Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Last week, while fishing the Oakley Big Bass on Grand Lake, the only fish I caught over 2 pounds were on Mr. Frank's Wobble Head jigs paired with either a full size lizard type bait ("Yum" brand, can't remember the name of it) in dirty water or a Hog Head Jr (clear water).
abkeenan Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Frank's heads at SwingOil Baits is what I am using now. Great product at literally half the price of the Biffles, Chompers or other competitors. Also has a ton of different craw and creature baits to pair with the wobble heads.
Unimog Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 The actual biffle bug and Yamamoto kreature are what I use most often. Hard to believe mark Davis is bringing attention only now when tommy biffle won the fort Gibson event on it back on 2010.
Quillback Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 What Davis did was fish it successfully in the spring and use a different bait than a creature. I'd venture to say that most of us who have been fishing the wobble head have viewed it as a post-spawn presentation with a creature/beaver type plastic on it. I'm finding out (and so is everybody else) that you can throw just about any plastic on it and catch fish. Another tool for the toolbox.
Champ188 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Frankly, and it's just my opinion, Biffle hasn't done as much to endear himself to the fishing public as Davis. While both of them tend to focus more on fishing than hamming it up for the media, Davis does have more charisma.
Alex Heitman Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I love putting big senkos on swing jigs. When the water gets up in the bushes, that's my go to bait.
