Members Saltydawg Posted June 21, 2014 Members Posted June 21, 2014 Hello. Was out tonight in the kayak and saw several muskies surfacing and "rolling" around. They didnt appear to be feeding ? I am 100 % certain they were muskies as several were less than 25 feet or so away. There had to be at least a half dozen of them in a fairly concentrated area. Is this normal behavior ? I am new to pomme de terre and kind of thought they were more elusive, especially this time of year. I threw on a a wiggle wart for giggles and some seemed to even follow them for aways...
Old plug Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I think they were Gar as well. They run in a herd like that. Throw them a rope lure and you can have a ball with them.
Dutch Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I fish pommy and haven't seen that with muskies but have a lot with gar.

Old plug Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 They do not like it but those of us who fish for them at times do. They get there teeth stuck in unraveled nylon rope when they bite it.
