jolicious Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Quill, My boat will run 74-77 (depending on The day). I was on Grand a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday. Water was relatively calm, and I was clipping along at 72 or so, when a race boat (looked like one anyway - squared back end with the two pronged front end?) "Eased" up beside me, waved, and walked away as though I was sitting still. I have NEVER seen a boat that fast in my life! It was awesome!
Champ188 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yup, big pickle-fork (tunnel hull) hydroplane. They have some over there and at LOZ that will literally run well over 200 mph. Top speed at last year's LOZ Shootout was 224 mph.
Feathers and Fins Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 So what you'rs saying Joe is your putting your boat in the shop to have quad-merc-300's put on it, because doc and I both know you don't like being outrun. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
