Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 5, 2014 Root Admin Posted July 5, 2014 Unbelievable... I took the grandkids fishing this afternoon to catch SMALL rainbows so they could paint them and put them on shirts (explained in another post). First trout was a nice rainbow caught by Jeriah (yet another post later). Second trout, this 20-inch brown caught by Serenity. Night crawler at Short Creek. They EVENTUALLY caught a couple of rainbows that were small enough to keep!

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 5, 2014 Author Root Admin Posted July 5, 2014 Painting trout... they got a little over ambitious with the paint.
gramps50 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 What a neat project for kids, I will assume that the fish doesn't survive this process.
Big Brown Trout Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 you don't waste them do you? Let the summer of Carp, begin.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 6, 2014 Author Root Admin Posted July 6, 2014 Wipe off the paint and they're good.
ScottK Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I will assume that the fish doesn't survive this process. If they released 'em they'd just die of embarrassment as soon as they got back around their trout buddies anyway. Great pics Phil, had to be a fun time out with the kids!
