zarraspook Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I have seen them mapping on Stockton and they run at about 10mph and they will not got into coves with a lot of trees; I.E. Beaver Honey creek and most of the coves off of Indian Creek .. I have decorated most of the trees in Honey Creek, trolling for stripers...... J-Doc Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I checked my new Hot Maps card and it has the same contours as the app. It has more data and mapping information like road beds and such, but the back of Honey Creek looks the same as the app. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
5bites Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I use lakemaster chips. Would it help you guys if I looked at this creek on there and posted a pic?

nathanhooper Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 I got to try it out this weekend. I am under the 5 day trial period so I am not sure if there is a difference in it and the paid version. I am noticing that it is a little slow to update my position on the map. I could understand if I am going fast, but just trolling around seems like it should be more accurate. But, I do like the detail it shows and while it might not show me over it and approaching it correctly, it shows it in close enough radius that I can find it with sonar. I look at it as a good way to carry a map with me of the lake couture for a price that you could not buy a paper map for. Might not be the best for gps location, but close enough. I'm sold.
5bites Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 It would be interesting. I'll get some up this evening.
nathanhooper Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 It's just south east of the dam. Most old topos label it as such if you have access to one of those. I'll get a picture later.
5bites Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I apologize for the bad pics. I could do screens but I was in a hurry. I was disappointed to see that beaver isn't hd yet on lakemaster. It has 3' increments rather than 1'. It still looks good just not as much as say the table rock map for example. I have the red set at 6' and the green at 20' I believe.
