Quillback Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Got the same problem on Beaver they just keep appearing and I have no idea how, must be a midnight ninja operation them darn ninjas lol Yeah it's funny - I have never seen anyone out there placing them, I guess they do it at night to try and keep it secret. I did see the state putting cedars in Indian creek (Beaver lake) that they had cut out of that land they purchased up there. They did it a little differently, planted the trees vertically weighed down with blocks rather than just placing a big pile of brush in the water.
Feathers and Fins Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I know where they have placed a bunch more on Beaver and I keep seeing a Toon going out at night with brush and he comes back with none. A great bass brush is Holly Bushes ( they only take 1 block and last for about 7 years ) Crappie and Walleye seem to prefer a set of three cedars or Oak's it appears. But I have no idea of the depth those might or might not be set in. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
rps Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 If they are going to set brush, I wish we could teach them where, and why. Many are in the middle of nowhere builds.and set shallow. The time we need piles/brush is when shallow is not working.

Just the right density and lasts several years. Doesn't seem to put off any toxic/fish-repelling odors as it ages like some species do.
