Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 30, 2005 Root Admin Posted December 30, 2005 a forum on hunting? I'm thinking about purchasing another forum and setting up a hunting forum. BUT- I hunt, like to hunt but I am not an expert by any stretch. AND I can't put the time and effort building a hunting site like I am ozarkanglers. Ideas?
Members moose50 Posted December 31, 2005 Members Posted December 31, 2005 you could just add a hunting section to this forum and it would take care of itself maybe, dont know if you would want that on here but i think it would be fine if you did that and it wouldnt really take up any more of your time i dont think. novice hunter here myself. we have some great deer here in central illinois.
Members albright3 Posted January 22, 2006 Members Posted January 22, 2006 I agree with moose 50. Probably, most of the people who link on to this site want to talk about fishing, but that can get old after awhile, so talking about hunting can be a good backup. In my opinion, keep the fishing forum going strong. Its pretty hard to find a good fishing forum. My favorite hunting forum is archerytalk.com but of course shooting bows(not rainbows )is my passion.
Members Brent-T Posted January 22, 2006 Members Posted January 22, 2006 I'm all for it. If I'm not checking this site out, I'm on bowsite.com. It's a great forum that covers just about every species to hunt, and also has a regional section for people from each state to connect.

Yeah, I think if you just add another section on for hunting it would sure take off. Just like Moose said as well, not sure if you want that on this forum, but highly believe it would take off. I know I would be joining in on it. fox_76 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 just found this post, i am kinda like you there lilley, i love to hunt but i am no expert, while i do bag a deer or two every year i think that tips and pointers from everyone like we do the fishing here is a great idea, maybe just a new forum here with sub forums, like deer, qauil dove and pheastant, duck, etc, you know just like the rest of em here... i mean a guy can't fish all the time!! or can he????? I didn't go to college,... I was too busy learning stuff. --Ted Nugent
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I agree with the others. Another section here would do just fine. Most of us fisher's are also hunters so it wouldn't be a stretch to just add another section. I also agree with fox_76 about the sub-forums. Just my two cents. Rolan Duffield Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Golf anybody. Seriously, I don't see any problems in adding a hunting section. After all, many of the post sections are seasonal.
MoCarp Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 No! this site is great as a fishing only--if it isn't broke .... its nice to have a fishing only site--hunting will just add to clutter JMHO MO MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Seth Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Just add another section on the current forum for hunting. Most of us here are probably hunters also. For hunting related stuff, I always get on Mathews and Archery Talk forums. I'm addicted to bow hunting as well as trout fishing.
